We believe in transparency. Before we embark on our journey through the wild, we've outlined the essential agreements that keep our adventures safe and sustainable. Your booking constitutes acceptance of these terms.
1. The Agreement
When you book an expedition with WanderPaws Expeditions, you're entering into a direct contract with our Irish-registered entity. These terms apply to all participants, whether you're trekking through the highlands or joining an educational workshop. How do we ensure mutual respect on the trail? By adhering to these clearly defined standards.
We've meticulously designed our operations to meet both UK and EU standards for travel protection. You'll find that our commitment to ethical tourism isn't just a promise; it's hardwired into our legal framework.
Booking & Deposits
To secure your spot, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reservation. We don't hold spots without this commitment—wildlife encounters are in high demand and limited in capacity. Your final balance is typically due 60 days before the departure date.
Failure to settle the remaining balance may result in the forfeiture of your spot. We'll send you reminders, don't worry.
Cancellations
Life happens. If you need to cancel, please notify us in writing immediately. Our tiered refund structure is based on how close we are to departure. Cancellation fees range from the loss of deposit to 100% of the trip cost if within 14 days.
2. Wildlife & Risk Disclosure
Wildlife is unpredictable. It's the very thing that makes our safaris magical. However, it also carries inherent risks. Participants must acknowledge that WanderPaws Expeditions operates in remote locations where medical facilities may be several hours away. Do you feel prepared for the unexpected? We require mandatory travel insurance for all bespoke adventures.
We aren't liable for weather conditions or the specific behavior of animals in their natural habitat. We provide the expertise; nature provides the show.
3. Field Conduct & Ethics
Our guides have the final word on safety. If a participant's behavior threatens the welfare of an animal or the safety of the group, we reserve the right to remove that individual from the tour without a refund. We're guests in these ecosystems, and we act like it. No exceptions. No excuses.
Media Rights
Our guides often capture stunning moments. Unless you explicitly opt-out, you grant WanderPaws Expeditions a royalty-free license to use images featuring you for our marketing efforts. Respecting your privacy is key, so just let us know if you'd prefer to stay out of the frame.
